Hands-On Historic Keyboards with Corie Melaugh, RPT

After a brief overview of the instruments in question, it's all hands on deck for a hands-on technical! Learn safe methods for removing the actions and dismantling the case parts on two historic keyboards, have a go at turning a few tuning pins, and play a few notes on two of the instruments from the Brandeis University Jencks Early Music Room. Instruments will include a 1971 Dowd transposing French Double Harpsichord and an 1835 Vienesse Fortepiano built by Josef Worel.
